Profile: Simon is a Naval Architect and experienced marine consultant. Holding a 1st Class Masters Degree and a member of RINA and NACE, Simon is also a member of the SNAME H-10 Ship Controllability Panel and has been a technical advisor to national delegations and NGO’s at IMO on solid bulk cargo liquefaction and ship performance issues. Simon has particular expertise in casualty investigations & forensic analysis including live and post event support to marine casualties and salvage operations.  Simon spent 10 years developing marine simulators for training and pilotage assessments and is an expert in ship motions & ship-handling / manoeuvring including, moorings, collisions, groundings and the simulation/recreation of incidents. He is experienced in structural damage & damaged stability matters including cargo shifting, sloshing, liquefaction and lashing matters. Simon has also conducted numerous vessel sea trials and is an expert in vessel performance, propeller performance and damages. Simon has provided numerous expert reports and has experience as an expert witness.
